Sometimes (or in my case, all the time), you just have a hankering for something sweet. But short of sticking a spoon into the Nutella jar (we’ve all done it – you have, right? Say right…), sometimes we grab a really bad/stale/old/cheap/from-the-grocery-store cookie that is totally not worth the calories. And, why waste the calories, when you can have this awesomeness?
So easy…so fast…so good for you (well not really, but whatever..)…
Ingredients:
3/4 c butter, at room temperature
3/4 c brown sugar
1 1/2 c flour
1 can condensed milk
2 tbsp butter
1 1/2 c chocolate chips
1 c toffee bits
Line a 9X13″ pan with parchment and preheat the oven to 350.
In a food processor or mixer, combine flour, brown sugar and butter; pat mixture in bottom of baking pan; bake for about 10 minutes.
While it’s baking, pour milk and 2 tbsp butter into a small pan and combine until melted.
When the base is baked and brown, pour the milk mixture over the top and put back in oven for about 8-10 minutes.
Pull the pan out of the oven and sprinkle the top with the chocolate chips and toffee bits. Put it back in the oven for about 2 minutes…it will look all melty like this (you can spread it or just leave it…I usually leave it!).
Now look at this…I mean, really…come on!
Soooo darn easy and so darn delicious! It gives you a reason to have a bbq. Actually, just have the bbq with these squares…nobody will miss the burgers!
