About Just Crumbs & Suzie Durigon
Heyyyy! Ciao… Salut… Hallo… Shalom… Sawubona (that’s hello in Zulu…in case you were wondering!!)
Who is Just Crumbs??
So, this is me…Suzie Durigon!
Actually, that’s me when I was 4 (making a birthday wish that the entire cake in front of me could be consumed by me and only me…some things never change!).
Below is a more accurate photo of me in my happy place (actually, my happy place is in a kitchen…any kitchen…this was in Massimo Bruno’s supper club kitchen where Massimo and I cooked for a group of newly landed immigrants – another joy of mine is giving back which you can read about under the tab “Bake it Forward”.
This is more my style (when I’m not in the kitchen) … I live on farmland about 40 minutes north of Toronto and I spend a good chunk of time in the garden!
Living out here has made me realize that we (Canadians) are so lucky to live in such a beautiful place!!
But don’t worry…if you’re not into gardening (or “fake farming” as I like to call it 😉 ), most of my posts are about food experiences!
Big spreads like this (check out this summer party post! Keep it in the back of your mind until we are all allowed to gather!!!!!)
Sometimes I post about healthy things – like a big ol’ bowl of kale chips!!…
And sometimes it’s about making a decadent, “don’t worry about the calories” cheesecake…
But, if you follow me on Instagram, you know I’m all about belly laughs! On my social media posts (which are my way of sharing really lame jokes as well as recipes), I have fun with food – especially during holidays!!
Like Halloween (click here and here for some spooky ideas!)
Or how about some Christmas fun?? Check this out…you can also put “Christmas” into the search bar to bring up a bunch of recipes!!
And there’s always Valentines!
And, for you “pup people”, there is even non-human food on the blog!! Click here if you want to make some doggie biscuits!
That’s my pup (a rescue) Benny
And finally, for those of you that don’t know, I WROTE A COOKBOOK!! You can click here if you’d like to read more!!

Now for those of you who have been here with me all along...I have some great news!!
I finally got my bees and I am now making honey on my property!!!
And, if I can get my act together, I will have chickens in the near future!
Like always, you can find me over at Instagram and Facebook having a grand old time teaching y’all how to have fun in the kitchen.
And, if you want to get my weekly blog posts in your inbox, put your email in the link you see on the top of this page! And I promise, no spamming!!
Who’s with me?

My name is Rosalba, Mark Brunswick is a friend of mine and shared what you do and it sounds very exciting!
I have been working closely with a children’s exhibit from Italy that is visiting Toronto for the next few months. The exhibit is called the Wonder of Learning.
I’m interested to connect with you as I am connecting with Rob Gentile, Slow Food Canada and a few other chefs in bringing the exhibit to life further in an atelier of food. The exhibit features a piece of this and we are looking to enhance as we are also responsible in organizing workshops/conferences around the exhibit and its meaning. I am a member of the Ontario Reggio association and an educational consultant who is passionate to bring education and food as the connection.
I’m wondering if we can connect to discuss further some possible ideas.
Signing up so I don’t miss your posts! Wishing you a super week! Yes to frozen bananas!!!
