Today, I’m so happy to share one of my all-time favorite indulgences: Double Chocolate Hazelnut Biscotti. This Italian classic has been elevated to new heights with the addition of rich cocoa and crunchy hazelnuts. So, grab your apron and let’s get baking!!

Double Chocolate Hazlenut Biscotti

These deliecious biscotti are a step away from the traditional biscotti but are exceptionally delicious!!!
Servings 80


  • 3/4 cup butter softened
  • 2 cups granulated sugar
  • 4 large eggs
  • 4 cups flour
  • 1 cup cocoa powder
  • 2 tsp baking soda
  • pinch salt
  • 2 cups hazelnuts roughly chopped
  • 1 cup chocolate chips


  • Preheat oven to 350 and get your baking pan ready with a sheet of parchment.  Beat butter until fluffy; then add sugar and beat again; then add eggs and beat again.
  • In a separate bowl, whisk together flour, cocoa powder, baking soda and salt.  Mix into butter mixture; add nuts and chocolate chips and mix again.
  • Form into 2 logs like this (long and rectangular); bake for about 25 minutes or until it springs back in the centre.
  • Cut with a serrated knife into 1 inch pieces and place back on the tray; put back into the oven (now with lowered heat to 300) and bake for about 8 minutes – 4 minutes on one side and then turn them over and do the other side.
  • Remove from oven and enjoy!


Keeps well for over a month in a well sealed container in your pantry!!
